Anna Fitzgerald has grown up believing that she was brought into the world to be a genetic match for her older sister, who is dying of leukemia. Because of her sister’s dependency on her, Anna is unable to live the life she wants; in and out of the hospital constantly. When Kate turns 13 she goes into renal failure. Knowing that she will have to donate one of her kidneys to her sister, Anna sues her parents for medical emancipation and the rights to her own body. The film is interlaced with flashbacks that detail the strong relationship between Kate and Anna, as well as how Kate’s illness has affected her siblings’ lives. Before the result of the case is known, it is revealed that Kate had asked Anna to file for medical emancipation. Knowing that she would not survive the surgery, Kate wants to die. Anna wins the case, and due to her sister’s wishes does not donate her kidney.

who would ever have thought that i, little well-behaved nina, would ever be stopped by the police? yes, it happened. being my first ever time driving in portrush, i was too busy panicking about where my mother (who i was following)had disappeared to, to realise that i was driving against the traffic on a major one-way road! yikes!
and to make things worse, as i made a quick dash to the other side of the road to a parking space, only then did i spot the police van that had been following me. i could feel my face going red.
thankfully, after a rather uncomfortable discussion, the policeman accepted it as an honest mistake. scary biscuits!

i know, i know, it is soooo incredibly stereotypical to be head over heels in love with robert pattinson. but you have to admit, he his exceedingly dishy.
i would like to point out that it was i who fell in love with him first, it was i who recognised his exceptionally handsome looks first in harry potter. however, apparently being a vampire seems to be more attractive. i read in an interview with him that said a woman was so obsessed with him, she handed him her baby and asked him to bite it. O.T.T??…i think so

i’m rather grossed out at the amount of slugs that come out at night. u’d be surprised. i went rollerblading the other night round the estate we’re staying in for our holidays, and i had to dodge all the little buggars. there were hundreds! not amused

hello there =] i should probably begin with an apology, im new to this blogging malark, so you will have to excuse my ignorance. im quite excited about having a blog, but i dont really know what to write about. my life is rather uneventful at the moment. i guess i could write about all the little things that happen, like a daring venture of trying a new flavor of herbal tea. heehee. but i guess you never know when something exciting is going to happen…
